Simac ICT Belgium has entered into a partnership agreement with FNT Software – a leading provider of software solutions for the integrated management of IT, datacenter and telecommunication infrastructures. By teaming up with FNT Software, Simac’s Cabling & Infrastructure (C&I) division further strengthens its expertise in Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM).
At the beginning of the year, FNT Software awarded Simac ‘Solution Partner’ status. This means Simac can resell licenses of the FNT solutions, and provide services related to the software implementation and maintenance. The Solution Partner status was awarded, based on the business plan that Simac C&I developed and the FNT Command Foundation exam passed by two Simac consultants.

Simac offers its customers choice when it comes to DCIM. “The approach of FNT Command is similar to our own approach, well structured and documented,” said Vanbrabant. “FNT Software is very strong in network connectivity, the historical root of Simac C&I, being able to manage it like no other DCIM provider can. The reach of their solution is broad, covering both building- (power, cooling, floor space, etc.) and IT infrastructure (such as networks, servers, and storage). The FNT solution also goes deep, from monitoring live power consumption and temperature values, to handling (SFP) transceivers, trunk cables, one-to-many/many-to-one connectivity, modular patch panels, and the like.”
